Set up fast track court for Hajipur case, demands VH
AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday met Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat and demanded him to set up a fast track court to try the accused in the murder and rape of women in Hajipur.
Hyderabad: AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday met Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat and demanded him to set up a fast track court to try the accused in the murder and rape of women in Hajipur.
The Congress leader stated that though months have gone by, the prosecution of the accused was not taken up. He said that in view of murder and gang-rape of Disha, the police should expedite the prosecution in Hajipur case and punish the culprits.
Addressing the media, earlier, Rao said that the chief minister has gone to Delhi to attend a feast while entire nation is demanding justice to Disha.
He mentioned that Srinivas Reddy, the accused in Hajipur case, was not punished so far.
He alleged that the chief minister has no affection towards the women. He said that the chief minister's Delhi tour was humiliation of women.
