Siddipet: Secretary to Irrigation Department Rajat Kumar said that the construction work of the Kaleshwaram project should be completed as soon as possible without any pending. He inspected the construction works at Ranganayaka Sagar, Konda Pochamma Sagar, Mallanna Sagar in the district on Friday.
Speaking at a review meeting held afterwards, Rajat Kumar directed the Irrigation Department and officials concerned to release water into Ranganayaka Sagar on March 10 and to Konda Pochamma Sagar during March 15-20. He said that till June 20, 2021, almost 30,000 acres under Ananthagiri Sagar, 1.1 lakh acres under Ranganayaka Sagar and 1.25 lakh acres under Mallannasagar, 2.85 lakh acres under Kondapochamma Sagar should be provided with water. Officers were instructed to tour the field for completing tasks. A comprehensive review on the construction of Mallanna Sagar and Konda Pochamma Sagar was held.
Along with Rajat Kumar, District Collector Venkatarama Reddy Sircilla Collector Krishna Bhaskar OSD Sridhar Deshpande ENC Hari Ram Siddipet District Additional Collectors Padmakar, Muzammil Khan, Project SE Anand, Venu, Gopala Krishna, Khaja and others were also present.
