Warangal: The She Teams, aimed at tackling violence against women, of the Warangal Police Commissionerate stood second in the State performance-wise this year. At a programme organised at the Shilparamam in Hyderabad on Thursday, Home Minister Md Mahmood Ali gave away memento to the Warangal She Teams members. Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister commended the workmanship of She teams. He said that She Teams created a sense of confidence among the women. "The onus is on She Teams to keep its track record and raise the bar further," Ali said.

The Warangal Police Commissionerate which ensured death penalty to the accused who molested and killed a nine-month-old infant in Hanamkonda in just 48 days had attracted nationwide attention, he said. He commended Commissioner of Police V Ravinder and the staff for putting up a good performance.

DGP M Mahender Reddy and Inspector General of Police Swati Lakra appreciated the She Teams members Inspector Srinivas Rao, head constable Bichu Naik, constables Srinivas, Narender, Srivani and Laxmi. Scheduled Tribes Welfare and Women Development minister Satyavathi Rathod, Mahabubabad MP Maloth Kavitha were among others present.
