Striking TSRTC staff lays siege to MLC's house
On the 7th day of RTC strike, tension prevailed in Tandur, as RTC employees laid siege to the camp office of local MLA Rohit Reddy and the residence of MLC Mahender Reddy.
Tandur: On the 7th day of RTC strike, tension prevailed in Tandur, as RTC employees laid siege to the camp office of local MLA Rohit Reddy and the residence of MLC Mahender Reddy.
RTC employees gathered on the premises of RTC bus stand on Friday morning and cooked meals. After lunch, RTC employees reached MLA's camp office. They submitted a memorandum to the staff, as the MLA was not available.
Later, they reached MLC Mahender Reddy's house, but he too was not available. Speaking on the occasion, RTC JAC leaders said that various political parties, people's associations and people are extending their support to the RTC strike.
Recalling the crucial role played by RTC employees during Telangana agitation, the leaders said alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to recognise their role in the agitation. They alleged that KCR failed to fulfill the promises he made to RTC during the agitation.
