Hyderabad: City has been receiving on and off rains accompanied with thundershowers since a few days now. Due to rainfall, traffic chaos was witnessed in many parts of the city on Thursday evening. In the Malakpet area, a pregnant woman named Gowri gave birth to a baby boy in the ambulance.

As there was no way to move the ambulance further, the 108 ambulance staff have performed the delivery. The baby and the woman are safe. There was a terrible traffic jam in Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Paradise, Madhapur and many other places of the Hyderabad on Thursday.

Rather than the usual time to travel, rains fury has prolonged the journey of denizens. Many roads in the city affected because of rains as the roads surface filled with mud and potholes eventuating city traffic to move at a snail's pace.

Rains with thunderstorms on Thursday evening has witnessed by the areas like Hayathnagar, Saroornagar, Qutbullapur, Balanagar, Shaikpet, Malkajgiri, Safilguda, ECIL, Sainikpuri, Moulali, Kushaiguda, Secunderabad, Alwal, Chanda Nagar, Miyapur, Gachibowli, Madhapur, Banjara hills, Jubilee hills, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, SR nagar, Khairtabad, Malakpet etc.

Apart, low lying areas affected with the rains and also traffic jams witnessed resulting in motorists to move at snail pace. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad made a forecast that light to moderate Rain or thunder showers very likely to occur at isolated Places over Telangana for the next three days.

Due to the formation of an upper air cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal and north coast of Orissa persists and extends up to 0.9 km above mean sea level, eventuating light to moderate rainfall from Thursday night to next three days.
