Take steps to protect media personnel from Covid: Bandi Sanjay Kumar
BJP Telangana State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded the State government to immediately take steps to conduct Covid tests for all media persons.
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded the State government to immediately take steps to conduct Covid tests for all media persons. Responding over the sudden demise of Manoj, a reporter working with TV5, news channel here on Sunday, he expressed shock over the incident and said, "Earlier, it was doctors and now it is the scribes in the State, who are facing life-threatening situation due to Covid."
It shows that the alarming situation of increase in the cases of the deadly virus. Asking the State government to wake up from its slumber to contain the spread of Covid, he demanded, "The State government should provide health protection to media personnel. It should conduct Covid tests to them on a war footing and take steps to save their families," he added. The Karimnagar MP said that media personnel, who are engaged in relaying the information to the people in the fight against Covid are also be treated as frontline warriors. The State government should pay special attention to their health and protection, he asked.
