Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has pledged to develop Kodangal into a prominent educational hub and attract national attention. Speaking during a tour of the village in Vikarabad district today (Friday), he expressed his determination to transform Kodangal into the "Tirupati of the Poor," highlighting ongoing efforts for its overall development.

Revanth Reddy announced plans to lay the foundation stones for a 430-bed hospital and development works at the Doulatabad Venkateswara Temple and Kosgi Venugopalaswamy Temple. Ministers Damodara Raja Narasimha and Vakiti Srihari, along with other leaders, participated in the event.

Addressing a public gathering, the Chief Minister spoke about the reconstruction of the Sri Mahalakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kodangal, describing it as a project that would bring national recognition and attract devotees from neighbouring states like Karnataka and Maharashtra. He highlighted that the temple's rituals would emulate those at Tirupati.

Revanth Reddy also announced the completion of land acquisition for the Kodangal-Narayanpet Lift Irrigation Scheme, assuring that funds are in place and the project is expected to be finished within 18 months. He mentioned that the Krishna-Vikarabad railway line would be completed soon and that cement industries would be established in Rekulapadu within six months, creating employment opportunities for local residents.
