The Telangana government has allocated 288.74 acres of land for Singareni collieries at Bayyaram forest area in Manuguru mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The land was allocated under Manuguru opencast-2. A GO pertaining to the government orders has been issued by Special chief secretary of energy department Ajay Misra on Friday.
The union environment ministry has already accorded permission for the expansion of Manuguru opencast-2.
