The Telangana government is planning to hold ZPTC and MPTC elections before May 23 i.e, before the results of Lok Sabha elections. As the election code is in place till May 23, the government is aiming to complete these elections by the end of the model code of conduct, it is learned.

The development works in the state comes to a halt if the code is in place. To avoid another code, the government is planning to hold them before May 23, so that all the elections will be completed within one election code. If the elections are scheduled after May 23, there will be another election code.

The state has recently done with the Gram Panchayat elections and has remained with MPTC, ZPTC and municipal elections. After the conduct of MPTC and ZPTC, the state will go for municipal elections.
