Suryapet district which is in the red zone has been declared as coronavirus free

Suryapet district which is in the red zone has been declared as coronavirus free. The officials were exultant to announce the district as coronavirus free which stood at the place after Hyderabad with around 83 positive cases.

All the 83 coronavirus patients who were treated at Gandhi Hospital have been discharged. Of the total, 52 cases were reported from the vegetable market and the remaining cases were registered from Athmakuru, Nagaram, Vardhamankota, Anantharam, Nereducherla, Tirmulgherry and Madira.

After the district reported a huge spike in cases in a single day, the Chief Minister directed the state chief secretary and other officials to inquire about the situation. Since then, the district was closely monitored by the officials.

Since April 22, the district has not reported any positive cases of coronavirus till date.
