Tension prevailed after RTC workers tried to lay siege to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's residence at Karimnagar.

A clash erupted between the police and RTC workers when the former tried to prevent the workers from entering into the CM's residence. The police took the workers into custody and sent them to the nearby police station.

The RTC workers removed the barricades and tried to lay siege to KCR's residence by raising slogans against him. The workers alleged that the Chief Minister is taking the responsibility of the worker's suicide by ignoring the strike. They further warned to continue the strike unless the government agrees to their demands.

Meanwhile, the TSRTC strike entered 42nd day and the RTC JAC dropped their demand for merging RTC with the government and said that they are ready to hold talks with the government.
