Three dead as picnic turns tragic
What was meant to be an enjoyable holiday turned tragic for a family, when three members got killed in a drowning incident.

Avinash (32), a native of Jangaon town, who lives in Hyderabad, has been to his in-law's house at Bandathanda near Mekalaguta village under Ragunathpally mandal to spend holidays.
He along with his wife Bhargavi and two cousins - Lakavath Sangeetha (19) and Lakavath Sumalatha (20) – went to Bommakur reservoir on Saturday afternoon for a picnic.
While Bhargavi stayed on the reservoir bank, the trio got into waters and started to play. Unaware of the depth, they stepped further into waters and drowned one after the other.
Bhargavi, who was recording the video of the trio on her mobile, screamed for help identifying the danger.
By the time locals rushed to the spot to help them, the trio had already drowned.
However, the villagers put up a hectic effort to rescue them, it was too late.
