Tribal woman transported on jetty amidst labour pains

Kothagudem: Evenas the State is moving on the path of development, there is no change in the lives of the tribals. On Sunday, a family hailing from Umeshchandranagar under Pinapaka mandal migrant tribal village faced extreme difficulties while transporting a pregnant woman to a hospital.
The pregnant, Janaki, was experiencing pain in her lower abdomen, so her husband Sammaiah informed a 108 vehicle. The vehicle stopped about 3 km away due to the lack of proper road facilities in the village.
As Janaki’s pain increased, the family members set up a jetty and carried her to the 108 vehicle.
From there, she was taken to the Manuguru Government Hospital. After first aid, she was taken to Bhadrachalam Hospital for delivery due to anemia. Janaki’s health is currently stable, said Janampeta doctor Shruti.
