Nagarkurnool: Taking part in the Gandhi Sankalp Yatra in Kollapur mandal on Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party State president, Laxman, said that the TRS party which had come to power in the name of Telangana agitation and by raking the issue of alleged injustice in water, employment and funds for Telangana, has done nothing for the people of this State and instead fooled the people by making hollow promises in the past six years.

The BJP state president alleged that the TRS party was imposing a family rule in the State, and the people of this State were not able to get benefited from the welfare schemes launched by the Central government. He also alleged that the 12 Congress MLAs who joined the TRS party were supporting the corrupt TRS government that has siphoned off the Central government funds intended to be spent in the State.

Dr Laxman promised that if the people help the BJP win in the Kollapur Municipal elections, he would get a National Highway for the constituency and would also provide justice to the land oustees of Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Project in Kudikilla and would provide relief and rehabilitation to those who have been displaced under the Srisailam project.
