Tandur: Leaders of various parties alleged that the State government was trying to privatise RTC only for its valuable assets. Leaders of TJS, CPI, CPM and BJP, along with students and youth associations, held one day hunger strike on the premises of bus station to extend support to RTC workers.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders Somasekhar, Srinivas and Vijaykumar said the chief minister seems to be not bothered at the RTC strike which had reached 31st day. They demanded that State government should immediately call the unions for talks.

MPP of Yalala Balesh Gupta offered lemon juice to the protesters marking the end of hunger strike. He said his party would stand by the RTC workers in the protest. Patel Ramreddy, Moin, Bheemaiah, Srinivas, Deepak Reddy, Buggaih, PV Reddy, Srinivas, Basha and others were present.
