Uttam invites Vivek to join Congress
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday visited the residence of former MP G Vivek and invited him to join the Congress.
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday visited the residence of former MP G Vivek and invited him to join the Congress.
According to sources, Uttam went to the residence of Vivek in the afternoon and held talks with the later for few minutes. However, Vivek has not given any assurance.
Vivek who lost from Peddpalli constituency, contesting from Congress, in Parliament elections of 2014 had joined the TRS later. He left the TRS before the Parliament elections of 2019. He expressed his intention to join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
According to sources he wanted working president post in State BJP. But the saffron party leaders rejected the proposal, and this has made Vivek to rethink his political future.
The Congress which has been witnessing exodus from it to the BJP has seen a chance to win over Vivek to its side and the TPCC president made an attempt in this regard.
