Vande Bharat mission: 121 Indian passengers reach Hyderabad from US
As many as 121 Indian passengers have reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) from Newark in US on an Air India flight which landed at 3.14 am today.
As many as 121 Indian passengers have reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) from Newark in US on an Air India flight which landed at 3.14 am today.
On Friday, 117 passengers have been brought back from Kuala Lumpur. The flight Air India AI 1385 have arrived at Hyderabad airport at 10.12 pm. The central government is evacuating the Indians stranded in various countries due to the COVID-19 induced lockdown under Vande Bharat mission.
Earlier, 281 Indian passengers were brought back from San Francisco and Washington to India as a part of the mission.
From the airport, the passengers were being taken to the paid quarantine centres set up in the city including the star hotels. The foreign returnees can select the hotel depending upon their budgetary constraints. However, the poor were being taken to the quarantine centres set up by the government.
