Warangal: Awareness programme on engineering education in US
The students from India, who are pursuing their higher education in US universities, were doing well in academics and also bagging placements in MNCs, said Dr Alice Greife, Dean, College of Health, Science and Technology, University of Central Missouri, speaking at an awareness programme on Engineering Education in US.
Warangal: The students from India, who are pursuing their higher education in US universities, were doing well in academics and also bagging placements in MNCs, said Dr Alice Greife, Dean, College of Health, Science and Technology, University of Central Missouri, speaking at an awareness programme on Engineering Education in US. The programme was organised by the SR International Institute of Technology (SRIIT) here on Friday.
She said that the students studying at SRIIT and being transferred to University of Central Missouri (UCM) have a bright future. These students are at an advantage as they will be getting scholarships. She explained the programmes offered at UCM, their importance, research opportunities, innovative teaching and also about the various clubs.
Md Yousef, Professor of Computer Science and Cyber Security, UCM, said that Indian students graduating from their varsity are good in research and also getting placements with high salaries. He also mentioned that Computer Science and Cyber Security are the most sought-after programmes and students acquiring BS degrees in these areas have a very bright future.
SR Educational Society Chairman A Varada Reddy said that SRIIT has collaborated with few universities in US of which one is UCM. The students enrolled into the International Engineering Programme (IEP) can pursue the first three years of the course at SRIIT and the final year in US Universities. The IEP is a very innovative programme and SR Educational Society is always in the forefront in introducing innovative programs for the benefit of the students. Many students have benefitted from this programme and are pursuing their higher education in US universities, he said.
Dr R Archana Reddy, Dean Academics, SREC briefed about the IEP offered at SRIIT in collaboration with the US universities.
