Seven persons died in two separate road mishaps in the erstwhile Warangal district on Friday.

Warangal: Seven persons died in two separate road mishaps in the erstwhile Warangal district on Friday. In the first incident, four persons including an eight-month-old baby died instantaneously when the car in which they were travelling rammed into an ambulance between Katakshapur and Mohammad Gousepally villages in Warangal Rural district.

According to police, an employee with medical and health department Banoth Sonal was heading to Hyderabad from Venkatapuram (Wajedu) in an Ertiga car.

It's learnt that the car was moving at high speed. Initially, it hit another car coming from opposite direction and then rammed into an ambulance. The impact was such that Sonal, Banoth Rajitha, a baby and another person, who is aged around 35 years, died on the spot, while the other four sustained injuries. The other car heading to Mulugu in which one Tirupathi Reddy and others were travelling escaped with minor injuries.

In another accident, three persons died when two cars collided with each other at Singarajupally village under Devaruppula mandal in Jangaon district. The deceased were identified as Kommu Krishana (38) of Peddamaduru village, Manideep (35) and Soma Narsaiah (40) of Jangaon. The other three persons, who sustained injuries, were admitted to area hospital in Jangaon.
