Warangal: In a bid to ensure that all are equal before law and one must not be deprived of justice because of his/her social or economic status, the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) is striving round the clock,J Vikram, secretary of DLSA, Warangal, said.
Speaking at an awareness seminar held at West Fort in Qila on Wednesday, he said that people can seek the DLSA for any legal helpfree of cost.
He spoke about the Nalsa legal services to the workers in the unorganised sector scheme, 2015, Telangana victims of compensation scheme, 2015, legal services to the mentally ill and mentally disabled persons scheme, 2015, Nalsa legal services to the victims of Drug Abuse and eradication of drug menace scheme 2015.
He also explained about the senior citizen act, the prohibition of child marriages act, 2006, the right of children to free and compulsory education act, 2009.
"According to our constitution, children below the age of 14 years should be in schools and should not be hired as child labourers. The parents also must keep a watch on their wards and ensure they do not get addicted to drug abuse," Vikram said adding that one can contact the DLSA for suggestions and help by calling 0870-2540074.
