Water in Godavari recedes at Bhadrachalam

Bhadrachalam: The water level in Godavari River that was fast nearing danger mark, 46 feet, on the evening of Saturday. It has receded slowly at Bhadrachalam and it was recorded at Sunday 10 am 44.60 feet said the officials

The first warning level is continued here said the officers. The flood water reached bathing steps of Pushkar Ghats and devotees were not allowed to take a holy dip due to flood water.

Meanwhile the historical temple, Parnasala was inundated with rain water. The Sitamma Vagu has received huge inflows. The idol of Sita which is at near the vagu drowned with flood water.

The District Collector Rajath Kumar Sain monitoring with the all sectorial officers about the flood situation. He also made stock points in all mandals also.

A control room was arranged at Sub-Collector office at Bhadrachalam for monitoring floods said the officers.

The irrigation officers arranged boats here at Godavari as part of taking measures here.

The officers said, it flood water receding slowly and would be reached 40 feet at evening 6pm here.
