With five deaths, Covid-19 toll mounts to 45 in Telangana
The State reports 38 fresh cases, 26 from GHMC limits
Hyderabad: Five Covid-19 patients died while 38 more people were infected by the deadly virus in the State on Thursday. All the five persons including a woman are from Hyderabad and are in the age group of 40-45. They were admitted a week ago. The total death toll due to the deadly virus in Telangana was 45 including the 5 deaths. As many 23 cured patients were also discharged on Thursday evening.
Among the 38 new positive cases, 26 are from GHMC limits, 2 in Rangareddy district and the remaining 10 are migrants. Till now, nearly 100 migrants who returned from various States to their native districts in Telangana were tested positive. The total death toll due to the deadly virus in Telangana was 45 including the 5 deaths reported. 23 cured patients were also discharged on Thursday evening.
The infected migrants have roots in districts like Yadadri-Bhongir, Rajanna Sircilla, Nalgonda, Jagtial, Karimnagar etc. Based on reports of growing number of positive due to the infected migrant workers, government is taking several measures to contain the spread of virus in their localities.
