17-year-old youth attempts rape on minor girl in Dachepalli
A 17-year-old-youth attempt rape a 6-year-old girl in Pedagarlapadu village under Dachepalli mandal in the district on Saturday night, which came to light on Sunday.
Guntur: A 17-year-old-youth attempt rape a 6-year-old girl in Pedagarlapadu village under Dachepalli mandal in the district on Saturday night, which came to light on Sunday.
According to Gurazala DSP R Srihari Babu, the accused is residing near minor girl's house in Pedagarlapadu village. The youth lured the girl while playing with her on Saturday night when she was alone in the house and attempt to rape her. However, the girl escaped from his clutches and informed the matter to her parents. Immediately, the parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the police.
The police sent the girl to local government hospital for medical examination. Based on the complaint, the Dachepalli police registered a case. Meanwhile, the parents and relatives of the girl staged a protest on Addanki-Narkpetpalli Highway near Dachapalli demanding justice for the family and seeking stringent punishment to the accused. Police swung into action and assured the family members that they will take stern action against the accused.
