2,116 cops deployed for security arrangements in Vizianagaram
The police made elaborate arrangements for conducting Sirimanu Utsav in the district and deployed 2,116 police force to manage the crowd and to prevent untoward incidents.
Vizianagaram: The police made elaborate arrangements for conducting Sirimanu Utsav in the district and deployed 2,116 police force to manage the crowd and to prevent untoward incidents.
Speaking to media in a press conference here on Saturday, Superintendent of Police B Rajakumari said that police force from Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts were also deputed for the event.
She said 4 additional superintendents, 10 DSPs, 45 inspectors and 145 SIs are being deputed to maintain law and order. She added 15 parking places were arranged for vehicles coming into city. CC cameras were installed at vital points and vigilance has been stepped up to prevent untoward incidents, she stated.
Misbehaving of youth won't be tolerated, she stated and added all people should participate in the festival in a peaceful way and make the programme a grand success. Additional SPs J Ramamohan Rao and N Sridevi Rao also participated in the programme.
