Vijayawada: Shotokan Karate is a way for an individual to realise greater potential and expand the limits of the individual's physical and mental capacities. A coaching camp and Karate Belt Test was conducted at Delhi Public School (DPS).

As many as 46 students participated to win the belts. It uses a system of coloured belts to indicate rank. The standard belt colour system is white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple and brown. About 14 students were awarded with Yellow Belts, 11 students with Orange Belt, 11 students with Green Belt, 5 students with Purple Belt and 5 students with Brown belt.

This test was conducted in the presence of J Vijay Kumar of the Shotokan Karate under the constant guidance and training of the School Coach M Syam Kumar. P Narendra Babu, pro-vice chairman, directors, K Praveen and P Pavan Chand, principal G Mala congratulated the students on their active participation.
