Vijayawada: Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET) team is the runners of the Kabaddi tournament organised by JNTU Kakinada at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Gudivada in Krishna district on March 9 and 10, according to the ALIET physical director Y Rajesh on Monday.
Rajesh said after the preliminary league matches, Kakinada Engineering College Kabaddi team and ALIET Kabaddi team entered the finals.
After a tough fight between the two finalists, the Kakinada Engineering College team emerged as the winners of the tournament with a difference of seven points over the ALIET team.
He said that the ALIET team's excellent performance in the league match against Visakhapatnam team and Kakinada team had paved way to enter the finals. All the credit goes to the coach Padmaja for their achievement, said Rajesh.
College director Fr Xavier, assistant director Fr Anil, Fr Chiranjeevi, Principal Dr O Mahesh and others congratulated the college team on their achievement.
