Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani said that Rs 10.20 crore has been spent on construction of buildings for Dr YSR Village Clinics in Chintalapudi constituency of the district. He told the media on Thursday that the government had sanctioned Rs 94.88 crore for the development of 12 Vaidya Vidhana Parishad hospitals in West Godavari district. He said that in addition to the infrastructure in all the hospitals in the state, quality medicines were made available to the people. He said that our state was ahead of all other states in the prevention of covid in the state.

Covid medical examination rates across the state has been reduced from Rs. 1600 to Rs. 800 in all private cancer hospitals. 1563 beds for medical treatment in West Godavari district were set up with Rs. 3.10 crore. He said that the government of Andhra Pradesh on the auspices of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to set up 16 medical colleges at the rate of one medical college per parliamentary constituency across the state at a cost of Rs. 7500 crores.

Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, the number of coronavirus cases has dropped drastically again. Fluctuations in corona cases have been recorded since the last three days. Corona cases were at an all-time low on Monday, but doubled on Tuesday. However, Coronavirus cases had dropped again on Wednesday. In the bulletin released by the state medical and health department on Wednesday, 69,618 people underwent coronary examination in theand 1,236 were tested positive taking the number of coronavirus infections in the state to 8,57,395.
