Anantapur police on Sunday registered atrocity cases against MLA Kethireddy Pedda Reddy in connection with the clashes in Tadipatri. In addition, attempted murder cases have been registered against his sons Harshavardhan and Sai Pratap. Police have registered three cases against a total of 15 people, including MLA Peddareddy. Tadipatri DSP Chaitanya told mediapersons that a case has been registered against the MLA, his sons and followers following a complaint by Srinivas, a lawyer for JC Prabhakar Reddy. Police have already registered three cases against 27 people, including former minister and TDP leader JC Prabhakar Reddy, for causing the Tadipatri clashes. A total of six cases were reported against both sides.

However, there is a twist in the filing of the case on Pedda Reddy. He took the U-turn while the police said that a case has been registered against the MLA as per the complaint of JC Lawyer Srinivas. Srinivas said he had only given a petition, CC footage and a pen drive to the police. He appealed to the police not to treat him as a complainant. Lawyer Srinivas has already released a note to the media. However, the MLA Peddareddy faction criticized that it as JC Diwakar Reddy's conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Tadipatri MLA Kethireddy Pedda Reddy clarified that he has gone to JC Prabhakar Reddy house to discuss the good intention to dispel the misconception about Tadipatri in the state and establish a peaceful atmosphere instead of attacks. He was speaking at a press conference after distributing house site pattas to poor in Paddavaduguru mandal, Dimmagudi, Chinnavaduguru and Paddavaduguru villages on Saturday.

The MLA suggested to the TDP leaders to stop trying to mislead the people by creating myths that they had attacked JCs house. He said that the TDP leaders should be ashamed to demand that the police register cases against YSRCP over the attacks. He said the police were acting with discretion and they knew all things. The MLA recalled the JC family's atrocities when TDP is in power.

The police have set up checkposts at Pedda Reddy and JC Prabhakar Reddy's homes and section 144 is being implemented in the town. Checkposts have been set up on six routes to enter the town of Tadipatri. Vehicles are being inspected in case of any suspicion. TDP and YSRCP leaders are not allowed into the town.
