Andhra Pradesh Police Department has won the national award. The AP Police Department has been ranked second in the implementation and utilization of the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS). The Central Government on Tuesday announced the awards for ICJS. DGP Gautam Sawang received the award in a virtual manner over the hands of Union Home Affairs Minister Kishan Reddy.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita expressed their delight over the awarding of the prestigious National Award to Andhra Pradesh Police Department. While Maharashtra ranked first in ICJS implementation and usage and Telangana ranked third.
