The Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has further extended the exemptions over the lockdown. The government on Thursday has released a notice to this extent. The government has issued directives permitting the shops to be opened from 10 am to 5 pm except in all zones except at the containment and buffer zones.

Vegetables, fruits and milk shops were allowed to operate from 6 am to 11 pm. However, the government is not yet permitted shopping malls. The circular states that it is mandatory to set up hand sanitizers at all stores and wearing masks and observing physical distance is a must.

Meanwhile, in the latest media health bulletin released by the government of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, as many as 36 new coronavirus cases have reported in the state taking the tally to 2100. Meanwhile, there are 32 other cases related to the migrants belonging to Maharashtra, Odisha and West Bengal, and other states were also reported. However, going by the state statistics, out of 2100 total vases 1192 persons have got treated and discharged while 48 remained dead. The actives cases stand at 860.

On the other hand, the government is contemplating to bring back the people stranded in Hyderabad due to lockdown through special busses to be run by APSRTC.
