The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday directed all the district and sessions courts,

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday directed all the district and sessions courts, the Tribunals and legal services authority institutions and subordinate courts in the state to avoid mass gatherings in their premises.

The High Court also stated that all the courts shall not insist on the presence of the parties unless it's essential or unavoidable.

The High Court also advised the judicial officers to use the facility of video conferencing to conduct trials, to record evidence of witnesses with the consent of both the parties.

The High court on Monday has given the order to begin court proceedings through video conferencing, to curtail the coronavirus from spreading. The decision was made yesterday in a meeting between high court justice JK Maheshwari and other judges
