Kadapa district collector Hari Kiran said that the state government, which is giving a big boost to the industrial sector, is hosting the establishment of the renowned leather company Apache 'Intelligent SEZ' in the district. He held a special meeting with representatives of the Apache Footwear Group Company in his chamber at the collectorate on Monday. Later, he said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had decided to develop the YSR district industrially. Job and employment opportunities are being provided extensively to the youth of the district. In this context, 27 acres of land in the Industrial Development Park (IDP) to be set up under the Pulivendula Urban Development Authority (PUDA) has been allotted to the well-known Apache Footwear Company.

Launched under the name Intelligent SEZ, the leather industry is affiliated to the main branch at Inagaluru near Srikalahasti in Chittoor district. The collector explained that the foundation stone for the leather industry will be laid by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on the 24th of this month. The event was attended by JCs Gautami, Saikanth Varma, Apache Group Vice President Simog Cheng, Apache Footwear India Pvt Ltd Vice General Manager (Business) Govindaswamy Muthu, Pada OSD Anil Kumar Reddy, District Industry Manager, APIIC Zonal.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Apache Leather Company, which will be built behind JNTU in Pulivendula, inspected the site on Monday along with PUDA OSD Anil Kumar Reddy. OSD Anil Kumar Reddy showed company representatives 27.94 acres of APIIC land. Apache Company representatives special assistants Simon, Harion, Vice GM Muthu Govinduswamy, Civil Engineer Guna, PRO Rajareddy were among those who inspected the site.
