Amaravati: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu demanded that the elections should conducted under the supervision of Central forces.

Addressing party leaders through a video conference on Saturday, Naidu said village volunteers should not be involved in elections and demanded the annulment of unanimous elections held in the past and fresh notification issued to all local bodies.

The TDP chief questioned the role of Chief Minister in conduct of elections. "SEC is an autonomous body. CM has no power whatsoever on the functioning of SEC," he said.

He expressed objection over posting to Telangana cadre officer Srilakshmi and giving chief secretary post to Adityanath Das against whom cases were pending.

The TDP president expressed objections to the statements against the election schedule by the followers of Chief Minister. He said the officials and police should conduct the elections in an impartial manner.
