CM will announce sports policy for State soon: Dy CM
Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy who is committed for the developing sports, will declare the sports policy in the state shortly.

With a view to provide jobs to unemployed youth, the Chief Minister has decided to recruit 1.98 lakh Village Secretaries from October 2, he said. Narayana Swamy was the chief guest at Chief Minister's State level Basketball tournament which was held here on Thursday.
Basket ball players across the state have participated in the three-day tournament. District Collector N B Gupta has explained the significance of the event. Chittoor MLA A Srinivasulu presided over the meet.
PR Minister P Ramachandra Reddy, Tourism Minister Muthyamsetti Srinivas, YCP legislators M S Babu ( Puthalapattu) , N.Venkat (Palamaner), BJP leader Santhakumari and others were present. Addressing the players, Dy.CM Narayana Swamy lauded that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been striving for the development of weaker sections.
In fact, Jagan Mohan Reddy was a cricket player who used to take active part in cricket competitions during his college days and has plans to develop sports in the state. Panchayat Raj Minister P Ramachandra Reddy stated that the selection of Village Secretaries will be made in transparent way.
Inaugurating AP CM Basketball Tournament , Sports and Tourism Minister M Srinivas said that there was no funds' crunch for sports " It is the moral responsibility of the parents as well as the society to encourage sports.
Instructions were given to the district collectors to conduct sports once in a week as mandatory. The private educational institutions are instructed to follow the same, " he said. He assured that Chittoor Sports Stadium will be developed with an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore. YCP legislators Venkat Goud , M S Babu and others spoke. Chittoor SP Ch.V Appala Naidu, DSA Project officer P.Lakshmi and others were present.
