Collector MV Seshagiri Babu participates in pension distribution in Nellore
Collector MV Seshagiri Babu distributing pension to an elderly man at Padugupadu in Nellore district on Saturday
Nellore: District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu informed that they had started distribution of social security pensions at the doorsteps to 3,18,983 beneficiaries across the district from Saturday. Collector distributed pensions to Y Chenchaiah, K Seshamma of ST colony in Chandramouli Nagar, Padugupadu of Kovur Mandal. He said that the state government had introduced the village secretariats and volunteer system to implement welfare schemes in a transparent manner.
He informed that they had distributed pensions to 2.50 lakh beneficiaries only on Saturday. Seshagiri Babu also said that they would distribute YSR Pension Kanuka on 1st of every month. DRDA Project Director P Seena Naik, Kovur tahsildar Ch Subbaiah, MPDO Sri Hari and others were present.
Meanwhile, Municipal Commissioner PVVS Murthy distributed pension in 38th division in the city along with the secretaries.
