Tirupati: Saravanan Karathihayan, Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, accompanied by Muzzafar Shah Hanafi Consul/Trade Commissioner visited Sri City on Thursday. Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation extended a warm welcome to the visiting dignitaries.

Briefing them on the infrastructure, unique features and the brisk pace of development of the mega industrial park, he highlighted the specific advantages of doing business in Sri City, and the host of incentives being offered by the State and the Central governments.

Impressed with the infrastructure and industry-friendly ambiance of Sri City, the Malaysian Consul General said, "It is a world class facility." Commenting on the visit of the Consul General, Ravindra Sannareddy, founder and Managing Director, Sri City, said "We feel honoured for theattention paid by Saravanan Karathihayan in knowing more about Sri City.

Interaction of this kind will further enhance business ties between the two countries. We are confident that his observations, which are very encouraging, would pave way for business investments from Malaysia."

The intent of their visit was to witness and gain a first-hand knowledge about the industrial park, assess its business potential and explore investment opportunities. During the interaction, they evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City. Following the briefing session, they went round the industrial park and visited the production units of Hunter Douglas and Alstom.
