In the wake of the fast-spreading coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh, the government of Andhra Pradesh has advised the 75 persons who returned from Italy since February 29 to keep them in self-isolated. Since Italy has reported the second-highest country after China with more coronavirus cases, hence the health department of the Andhra Pradesh government has issued an advisory bulletin to the people who returned from Italy in four batches since February 29.

The health department said that people should stay in their homes for 14 days after returning from Italy. The health department released the guidelines to the foreign returnees and their family members to stay away from the suspects.

It is also advised to the family members of the Covid-19 suspects to inform the 24x7 control room and bring them to the isolation wards set up at all hospitals.

As per the statistics, as many as 16 out of the 56 Covid-19 positive cases in India are Italians. However, there are no positive cases in Andhra Pradesh. According to a bulletin by the state control room, 465 passengers from Covid-19 affected countries have been identified and placed under surveillance.

The authorities have sent 35 samples to lab of which 33 tested negative while the remaining two results are awaited.
