Andhra Pradesh DGP Gautam Sawang has lauded the home guards for their enormous services, which needs to be addressed who struggle hard along with the police.
Speaking at the 57th anniversary of Home Guard wing in Vijayawada on Friday, Gautam Sawang, who was the chief guest, congratulated the Home Guards and honoured some of the employes for their works. Later he assured that special programs would be initiated for the welfare of home guards.
"Andhra Pradesh is the first state in the country, which provides 5 lakh exgratia for the home guards," DGP asserted. "The govt is providing insurance policy of Rs. 30 lakh to home guards," DGP added.
