Eluru: A Sarat Chandra and K Anil have been unanimously elected as president and secretary of Students Federation of India (SFI) West Godavari Upland district unit at a meeting of crucial members held at local office of the student union on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the new executive committee president and secretary said that the meeting has discussed in detail about the changes the education sector exposed to. They demanded that the State government immediately release fee reimbursement and scholarship arrears accumulated in the district. Many eligible students were not getting Amma Vodi scheme benefits in the district, they said and requested the government to include the students under the scheme.
SFI leaders D Gowri Shankar, Rajesh, Raju, Srinivas, Prasad and others were present.
