M T Krishna Babu says that State government writes letters to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other States willing to operate inter-State services

Vijayawada: Principal Secretary for Transport M T Krishna Babu on Sunday made it clear that e- pass is a must to enter Andhra Pradesh from other states by crossing the inter-State borders by Road. He responded to the reports in social media on Sunday that the inter-State border check-posts would be withdrawn from Monday and vehicles from other States can enter the States even without passes.

Krishna Babu made it clear that the lockdown restrictions on the inter-State movement of people would continue till further orders. He said e-pass from Spandana portal is a must to enter the State by road. Referring to APSRTC inter-State buses, he said the State government wrote letters to Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other States expressing its willingness to operate APSRTC inter-State buses.

Thousands of people belonging to Andhra Pradesh remained stranded in other States since lockdown began and they are eagerly waiting to come back to their home State. Due to lockdown rules, they are not able to come back and they are facing hardships in other places.
