Eluru: Attack on disabled woman condemned
Condemning attack on a physically challenged female contract employee working in AP Tourism in Nellore district by assistant manager of the department, National Platform for the Rights of the Disabled (NPRD) and the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) jointly staged a protest at Potti Sriramulu statue here on Wednesday.
Eluru: Condemning attack on a physically challenged female contract employee working in AP Tourism in Nellore district by assistant manager of the department, National Platform for the Rights of the Disabled (NPRD) and the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) jointly staged a protest at Potti Sriramulu statue here on Wednesday. NPRD district president Jayaraju said that the physical attack on the contract worker by an official was a shameful act and the government should suspend the official from services.
AIDWA district secretary DJ Harish Durga said that the brutal attack on the disabled woman was highly condemnable and the government should appoint women protection committees in all government offices in strict accordance with the directive of the Supreme Court. The agitators raised slogans against the incident happened two days ago and demanded that the government bring justice to the victim.
