Entertainment for drama lovers in Vijayawada
A unique concept has been adopted by Tirupati based cultural organisation namely Subbaraju Natya Kala Parishad to conduct a regular parishad in different cities to facilitate the drama lovers to view the social and mythological dramas.

The drama competitions commenced with a social playlet "Karthavyam" on Monday at Vijayawada in Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College. This playlet was penned and directed by Cherukuri Sambasiva Rao and staged by Ushodaya Kalaniketan, Guntur. The theme of the playlet was about not reaching the benefits and concessions given by the government to the poor people.
The mythological play "Narthanasala", an epic from Mahabharata was produced by Subbaraju Natya Kalaparishad, Tirupati. The drama commenced with Pandavas' introduction and what works they have to do during the Agnatavasam. The costumes and makeup was apt but the harmonium was dominated the artiste's voice.
The meeting part was presided by PVN Krishna.Golla Narayana Rao, Subba Raju, Achanta Balaji Naidu and others were participated.K Subbaraju, president, Kalaparishad proposed a vote of thanks.
