Filing of nominations starts from today
District Collector and Election Officer P S Pradyumna said that notification for conduct of general elections to AP Legislative Assemblies would be issued on Monday and filing of nominations will be followed with immediate effect.
Chittoor: District Collector and Election Officer P S Pradyumna said that notification for conduct of general elections to AP Legislative Assemblies would be issued on Monday and filing of nominations will be followed with immediate effect. Last date for filing nomination is 24 March, scrutiny of nominations on March -26, last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 28, date of polling is April 11 and counting of votes on May 23, he said.
Speaking to press persons here on Sunday , Pradyumna said that 27,000 personnel would be involved in the election process. He reiterated that nobody would be spared if he commits any offence or irregularity. The contesting candidates have to open a separate account in any bank for ascertaining the election expenditure, the Collector said. The Collector further instructed the polling personnel to follow mode code in the ensuing elections.
