Giddalur athletes excel at national level
Three athletes from Door Chintal Thanda in Giddalur mandal, B Murali Naik, B Rajasekhar Naik and B Chandrasekhar Naik excelled at the national level athletics held in Rajasthan and won three gold medals and one silver medal on Saturday.
Giddalur: Three athletes from Door Chintal Thanda in Giddalur mandal, B Murali Naik, B Rajasekhar Naik and B Chandrasekhar Naik excelled at the national level athletics held in Rajasthan and won three gold medals and one silver medal on Saturday.
In the national level championship held in Jaipur, Murali Naik won a gold medal in the 1500 meters category by completing the stretch in just 4.29 minutes. Rajasekhar Naik won gold in the long jump by leaping 5.45 meters and another gold by completing the three-kilometre run race in the first position.
Chandrasekhar Naik completed the 100 meters stint in 11 seconds and stood in the second position to receive silver in under 19 category. The coach for the three athletes Murali appreciated them for winning the gold and silver medals.
