Nellore: Guntur Range DIG C M Trivikram Varma along with the Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy inaugurated the new building of model police station at Thotapalli Gudur mandal on Wednesday. Speaking at the meeting, DIG Trivikram Varma said that the model police station has been constructed with all modern amenities for maintaining good environs. This also helps in maintaining friendly relations with the people in the area, he added.
"Upgradation of police stations will be more useful in crime investigation and for accommodating manpower. A pleasant work environment will be an added advantage to the police personnel. The police department is using latest technology in cracking cases and for providing utmost services to people," said Trivikrama Varma.
SembCorp Energy India built the building an area of 3000 sq feet as part of corporate social responsibility. The police station is designed to be friendly for the differently abled persons. The new station has a help desk, station headroom with attached restrooms, separate room for storing armour, separate room for writer and case diary file stockroom.
