Guntur: TDP leaders staged a protest against the arrest of Deputy Floor Leader in the Legislative Assembly K Atchannaidu with torches at Mother Teresa's statue at Lakshmipuram in Guntur on Saturday.
They raised slogans against the YSRCP government for arresting Atchannaidu.
Speaking on the occasion, TDP Guntur West Assembly constituency in-charge Kovelamudi Ravindra (Nani) alleged that the YSRCP government foisted false cases against Atchannaidu.
He said the YSRCP government was resorting to revenge politics on the TDP leaders and warned that the people will teach a fitting lesson to the government soon.
He alleged that all the development works have come to a grinding halt in the state due to failure of the government. Earlier, the TDP leaders took out a rally with torches.
