Amaravati: With the sizzling summer temperatures, Andhra Pradesh has become like a burning pit. The people are struggling with high temperatures and heatwaves in the state.

All most at every district in the state, the mercury levels have recorded high temperature. Today at 6 places the temperatures were recorded in between 46 to 48 degree centigrade.

In 42 areas, the temperatures have been recorded between 45 to 46 degree Celsius. 44 to 45 degrees in 85 areas. At 480 locations, the temperatures recorded between 41 to 44 degree.

In Prakasam district, Tripuranthakam the highest temperature of 47.10 degree centigrade have been recorded so far.

The high temperature recorded in the state today are:

Prakasam district; Tripuranthakam - 47010, Mundlamuru - 46.51, Pedacherlopalli - 46.41.

Chittoor district; Vijayapuram - 46.17, Tirupati - 43.40, Yerpedu - 45.72, Nagalapuram - 45.58.

Nellore district; Podalakur - 46.15, Guntur district; Machavaram - 45.55, Kurnool dristict; Kurnool city - 45.51, Kadapa district; Kondapuram - 45.16, Krishna district; Penuganchiprolu - 45.12.
