Amaravati: Demanding Justice Eswaraiah to resign from the position of Chairman of AP Higher Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission following the AP High Court order for an enquiry into his unlawful activities, former Finance Minister and TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu stated that the former was facing serious allegations, in a press release on Thursday.

Ramakrishnudu said a Judge S Ramakrishna has levelled serious allegations against Justice Eswaraiah. It was totally unacceptable that Justice Eswaraiah had made such unconstitutional offences to defame the sitting judges of the High Court and the Supreme Court, he added.

In a statement here, the Opposition Leader in Council said that Justice Eswaraiah had already admitted to his audio conversation with the Judge Ramakrishna. Since there was prima facie evidence, the High Court had ordered an enquiry by a former judge. This was a serious matter and Justice Eswaraiah had no moral right to continue as the Chairman of APHERMC. In the first place, being a former Judge of the High Court, he should not have accepted the executive post.

Ramakrishnudu asked how Justice Eswaraiah could try to get Public Interest Litigations filed to create problems for the sitting judges. This was a serious offence. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy should dismiss Justice Eswaraiah if he didn't resign on his own, the TDP demanded.
