Kadapa: 24 new Coronavirus cases reported in Proddatur
Kadapa: After lifting lockdown rules, there was steep increase in Coronavirus positive cases as 24 cases were reported in Proddatur town which takes the total cases in the town to 173 against the total of 663 cases in the entire district.

Among the 173 infected persons, 55 were discharged from quarantine centres in Proddatur.
Failure in wearing masks and maintaining social distance at market places are the main reasons for the increase in Covid-19 positive cases in the district.
The administration is striving hard in alerting the people through various methods and imposing penalties for violations. But people are not bothered to take up safety measures.
Meanwhile, in a press note Collector Ch Harikiran said that as many as 25 patients who were tested negative were discharged from district Covid hospital on Thursday.
