Kadapa: As part of intensifying agitation against illegal encroachment of government lands, all-party committee leaders met Kadapa YSRCP parliament in-charge and former mayor Suresh at Aporva Kalyanamandapam and held discussions over the issue on Friday.
The all-party leaders alleged that landgrabbers have occupied crores of worth of government lands on the tanks and assigned lands given to downtrodden sections in CK Dinne, Chennueu mandals and Kadapa city by creating fake documents. They said despite they brought the issue to the notice of the administration, it least bothered in initiating action against landgrabbers.
Responding to the allegations, former mayor assured that the YSRCP will not encourage such illegal business and take stern action on land sharks.
CPM state committee member B Narayana, party town secretary D Prabhakar Reddy, Congress state general secretary S A Sattar, BJP state secretary Gurrappa all-party convener C R V Prasad and others were present.
